CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen) ELISA Kit
For the quantitative determination of CEA in human serum
Sample type: serum
Size: 96 wells
INTENDED USE
For the quantitative determination of Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) concentration in human serum. This kit is for research use only. It is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
PRINCIPLE OF THE TEST
The test kit for the quantitative determination of Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) concentration in human serum is designed in the format of sandwich ELISA. The CEA which is present in test sample will bind onto the wells of a microtitre plate (strip) supplied pre-coated with the first monoclonal antibody directed against a distinct antigenic determinant on the intact CEA molecule. The bound CEA is detected by using the second anti-CEA monoclonal antibody linked to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) supplied in conjugate stabilizing solution, which in turn is visualised by adding TMB solution. Any coloured product is measured at 450 nm after adding stopping solution. The concentration of CEA is directly proportional to the color intensity of the test sample.
